school's out for the summer. school's out forever.

Today when I was driving, I saw a license plate frame on the car in front of me that said:

Univ. of Marriage

Graduating class of 12/27/82

You know what? Pull over. Pull over and explain yourself. That's your wedding day, right? You didn't graduate from Marriage University on your wedding day. That was the day you went to your first freshman mixer. That was Orientation.

Unless that's the day you got divorced, and you are so proud and excited about having busted out of there that you're wearing it on your car. I graduated! No more pencils, no more books! No more teacher's dirty looks!

But I don't think that's what you meant. I am writing you a ticket.

This reminds me of those (mostly Southern, in my limited experience) ladies who say things like "I'm going to school to get my M.R.S."

It's funny because while M.R.S. sounds like some kind of certificate one might receive after completing a course of education at a four-year university, it in fact is just the abbreviation for "missus." Ha! Get it?
